The ICON Analyzer performs photometric absorption measurements in the visible light range. With differential absorbance colorimetry (DAC), the analyzer compensates for the color and turbidity of the sample by measuring both before and after the addition of a color reagent.
The photometer module is comprised of a heated cuvette with 2.4 cm light path and a long-life LED source. Various parameters can be managed by the software besides analysis results – low reagent level alarms, calibration errors, and loss of sample are a few examples of alarms that can be logged into the database or sent to a control room for further review by the operator. Multiple user levels are offered in the software which are suitable for any operator.
Plug and analyze – just connect the power, sample, and reagent lines and your analyzer is fully operational. The following components can be measured with this analyzer using the DAC technique: Aluminum, Ammonia, Chlorine, Chromium, Copper, Cyanide, Hydrazine, Iron, Manganese, Nickel, Nitrate, Nitrite, Phenol, Phosphate, Silica and Zinc.
